A blessing - a new baby boy to the family

I love when I get to connect with a family and then they come back for another session. I always say getting asked back to capture your families is an honor and gift.

The newborn days really do go by so fast, so I love capturing little moments during the session like below - as they only fit in the nook of your arm for so long.

In the world of newborn photography each baby photographer has their own style. I take pride in my style, which is focusing on the baby in a neutral setting, capturing little moments of feet and fingers, and highlighting the connection of baby and family. A new little girl

Sweet A was 9 days new for her in-studio newborn photography session. Full of snuggles with mom and her big brother. Her beautiful mom was my daughters kindergarten teacher. So it was that many years ago that I was taking pictures in her first class as a mom volunteer and we connected. Now I am watching her children grow up and making sure she gets in the pictures too.

I love capturing lifestyle newborn sessions. My style of newborns is a lifestyle and connection of baby and family. I feel it is so important to include the family in this session as this is a time your family is growing. Newborn sessions can be at your home or at the Frankfort studio.

Four years

180 days each year in Illinois which turns into 720 days over 4 years

They say high school goes by fast and most high school seniors I get to meet with will say they can’t believe it is their time to be the senior already. The years go by so fast as they grow into young adults. Senior year is filled with many final moments of high school so make sure to capture your senior moments.

Class of 2023 Seniors still have time to schedule before graduation and Class of 2024 I have started a list so as soon as I have my summer schedule set we can start getting your date on the calendar with Christina Bailitz Photography.

There is no time like when your baby is born

When you bring a newborn into your family, your family increases by two feet but an amount of love that is unmeasurable. Newborn sessions can be at your home or at the Frankfort studio. This session was in the natural light studio in Frankfort which is a great space to capture your baby and family. Most newborn sessions are scheduled when your baby is 7-14 days new, which allows time to recover from delivery and mom and dad to get some sleep. One promise I will make is that you will not regret scheduling newborn pictures. This is a short season in the journey of parenthood and they only stay this little for blink.

it’s senior year for the class of 2023

Fall in the midwest is one of the most popular times to schedule photography sessions and a time many seniors look to book their senior pictures. The fall is the beginning of their senior year. This season is busy and an exciting time for the senior class. A season that is closing high school and starting to open the next chapter as they plan out their post graduation plans. And their senior season is truly a season to document.

I love getting to work with these amazing seniors and when I meet with them in the fall and hear their plans, I can’t wait to catch up with them at graduation. I love hearing what path they chose and for so many to get to capture a cap and gown session for them too!!

You put your heart into your work - but when was the last time you were photographed & showcased?

In a world where entrepreneurship is everywhere from websites to social media to ads in print, it is essential for you, the owner, to get your face in front of potential clients. I know especially as a photographer, I don’t love the idea of a photo shoot of just me, but I know it connects me with people and my job is all about connections.

So I was honored I got asked to capture another photographers branding session, as she is focusing on marketing and connecting with her clients on her new launch. Before the session we connected through a questionnaire with some details on outfits and goals. We started the session with an overview of her new branding and chatted on some details such as:

• How will you use these images? Website? Instagram? Facebook? Is there an orientation that works better?

• Do you like photographs of yourself on a certain side (and don’t be shy many people prefer one side over the other)?

• We chatted on thoughts of action photos - close up - full body- headshots?

• And then my biggest ask of my clients - I am going to show you straight out of the camera (SOOC) and when you see what you like tell me and when you don’t tell me too so we can work toward more likes.

This is a little reminder to all that have profile pictures, websites, social media that you are connecting with others, make sure to invest in YOU and get images to share you love! Because in a world with so much work behind these amazing machines not everyone gets to see the smiles you have working.

Graduation is near - this is your year

My All-In Senior photo sessions are unique to each senior as they pick the location(s) and outfits. This session allows them to be themselves and their personality to shine. I love when my seniors pick a location that is special to them or they are so excited to be at.

Some of my favorite tips for Senior Sessions are:

• Choose a season you like - just because you so many sessions happening in summer & fall doesn’t mean that is the only time to take your senior pictures.

• Choose outfits you are comfortable in to move and make you feel like YOU. Coming in an outfit that is not you will not result in images you love. This is a session about YOU.

• What is your vision for your images - choose a location(s) that fits - I am happy to help with locations as there are so many in the Chicago area - we can find the one for you!

• Think of the number of images you are looking for as if you want more than 10 book the ALL-IN session. It will give you extra time and more options and result in less decision making later.

• Incorporate your high school activities in your session - these activities have been a part of your high school story and feel free to bring them into your session.

BABY on the way

Maternity photos are such a special way to document this special time before the baby is in your arms. As a mom of three, I look back and wish I had maternity photographs taken. I am so guilty of being the one behind the camera but it is so important to get in front of the camera. So mom’s make sure you get in front of the lens and be documented as you are an important part of this journey!

I love getting to spend this time with families before they meet their little one. Then a bonus for you is when I get to come meet your little one after a maternity session, you get a discount on your newborn photography session.

High School Senior | Tinley Park

When you play a sport or join a team in high school, it becomes a part of your high school memories and I feel should be included in your senior pictures. I love getting to meet upcoming graduates for their senior photos and capture them in uniform at their high school and let them guide the way to free this special time before graduation happens.

And not all sessions have to be at your high school as I know some great locations in the area to capture your senior moments and I promise you will be glad to have your high school uniforms in a photo once these years have passed even more than in this moment.

A first birthday photo session is a great time to capture the growth in one year, their personality.

I think it is so fun to end your session with a smash cake. As a mom hosting the first birthday party the day is busy so I think this lets you enjoy a special little moment of turning ONE with your baby!!
