Capturing your memories in your home

When I get invited to a home to capture a lifestyle newborn session in home - I love using the rooms of your home that are special to you. Including the family members not only the newborn in most of the images. The focus for me is the connection in the family in the place you make your memories and less posed moments. I love using your favorite blankets, where you snuggle up with your baby, including your pets and learning about your family.

The newborn days really go by fast, so I love capturing little moments in the crib as soon that mattress will be way down and they will be standing it.

I love getting to capture family snuggles, the littleness of baby fitting in your arms or on legs, the sweet little fingers and toes and so much more.

As my children are grown almost all 18 now, I tell all my clients my favorite part of the newborn session is getting pictures with the family. The newborn days go by lightning fast and we take so many pictures of the sweet baby but don’t jump in enough or get to capture the sweet moments together. So I love to deliver these type of images because everyone will tell you and it is so cliche but it really does go by fast.

Newborn sessions with Christina Bailitz Photography can be at your home or at the studio. These sessions require a little time and investments but I promise you - they will be treasures!!

HOW FAST DOES 4 YEARS OF college GO BY?

Ask a senior who just completed 120 hours of college classes…

The number of years of college can be different for each graduate but one thing that is the same for them all is the finish line on their path which is their graduation.

Graduation is a special time to celebrate when you are on campus and when you have graduation pictures already done on graduation day you can just celebrate.

When you book an on campus graduation session you be capturing pictures at a place that was home to them for a short period of time - where they grew up a little more, met many new friends, created many memories in class and out class, and acquired skills and personal growth to bring into the next chapter of career or more education.

I often get asked WHEN should I book an on campus grad session?

By mid-February I will release dates I will be on campus in Champaign and available for UIUC graduates. However there will be certain dates that Memorial Stadium is open historically so if these dates do not align we can discuss adding additional time if enough interest.

Can I take pictures with a group?

The answer is absolutely YES! There are two group packages and in each package individual and group image will be taken.

What is the turn around time for pictures?

The turnaround time for pictures is two weeks but you can RUSH them for a fee and have them in 72 hours.

Magical MATERNITY moments

From the positive test to watching your body change to feeling those first flutters. Pregnancy is a miraculous journey. And no two pregnancy’s are the same.

Once your baby arrives, you will have plenty of pictures of your sweet baby, but it is so very important to have the parents and siblings in pictures too as they are also a part of this story. So I always encourage parents to jump into pictures.

So YES YES YES take the maternity pictures!!!

My babies have grown up as fast as everyone warned me and I can tell you I WISH I took maternity pictures with someone that had the eye and creativity to capture those angles of the amazing baby bump I had. So I will share this with you all over and over because I can’t go back to capture that phase!!

Maternity sessions are when it is best for YOU but as a guideline I usually suggest between 32-26 weeks. MILESTONES

In a Babies first year, they will reach so many milestones from the first time you hold them in your arms till they have their first birthday, so when should you book a photo session?

At Christina Bailitz Photography, you will find I don’t have specific milestone sessions as packages because each child reaches milestones at different times. If you were to ask me when to capture them during their first year, I chat with you on moments you may be looking forward to such as a baptism, around a holiday, or other moments. My motto is to book milestone sessions when you are ready for them and they are at a stage you want to happen, except when it comes to their first birthday! I always say capping them at ONE is one milestone I recommend.

First Year milestone sessions can be booked through the website or contact me directly to book a time good for you and your family. Sessions can be in the Frankfort photography studio or outdoors -pending season allows.

HOW FAST DOES 4 YEARS OF HIGH SCHOOL GO BY?

Ask a senior…

When freshman year starts so many will say these will be the fastest four years, and then you blink and suddenly the end of high school is on the horizon and so many choices are waiting to be made.

This is a very special season for the high school senior and their family. So capturing these moments are truly a milestone you should hire a photographer for. I always tell seniors when we meet you will ALWAYS remember the year you graduated high school as it is an anchor in so many conversations to come in your future.

I often get asked WHEN should I book a senior photo session?

I schedule seniors starting the summer going into senior year till graduation or even after they get their cap and gown that summer. My biggest recommendation is to find a time that works for your senior and they are excited for this session. Sports and extracurriculars can keep students busy so there is no ONE time that is best.

Class of 2024 this spring there is still time to capture your senior season and Class of 2025 I am so excited to get your senior sessions booking and hear about your senior picture visions and making them come to life!

Getting the news you are expecting is like no other!!

There are so many emotions and the due date seems so far away.

You anxiously wait for each check to make sure all is going ok and keep looking ahead towards the due date to meet your baby.

I often get asked WHEN should I book a newborn session?

I always tell parents to book your newborn session when you are thinking of it as those last weeks time does seem to go by fast and sometimes your sweet baby or babies decide they are ready to see mom and dad sooner than that due date.

I often get asked WHEN do we schedule a newborn session?

I try to schedule newborn sessions between days 7-14 days new but also tell parents that window can be flexible as each baby and family has a different set of things going on. However I always try to schedule your session prior to coming home as I remember the days of bringing a newborn home and while sleep is little time is a thief and before you know it a week has gone by.

I was so excited to meet this crew who found me over google search engine! We scheduled their newborn session during the second trimester and being twins we knew they would like be early. I was so excited to get the news they were here and was ready to meet them all.

We met at the studio which is a bright white open space in Frankfort to capture these sweet twins and their parents for their first photography session. We definitely were able to capture their sweetness sleeping and awake and lots of cuddles with mom and dad.

How fast that first birthday comes

Everyone tells you how fast those newborn days go but it is hard to believe you blink and your baby is turning ONE! First birthday sessions can be tailored to your theme and colors.

While a cake smash picture may not the be one you hang on your wall, it will be a memory for you to treasure. Often smash cakes happen at first birthday parties and gatherings where parents are busy entertaining so when you opt to do a smash cake at your first birthday photo session, you get to soak in the moment with your baby!!

It doesn’t seem that long ago that I met this family for a maternity session before their daughter arrived. Thank you to google, I am so lucky to have gained a loyal family to Christina Bailitz Photography to capture her first two years and now their little boy. My style for newborns is lifestyle, which highlights the connection of baby and family. I feel it is so important to include the family in this session as this is a time your family is growing. Then of course we get plenty of pictures of the sweet newborn too with minimal props. The focus is your sweet baby.

How to book a newborn session?

I book ONE newborn session each week so I encourage you to reserve your due date as soon as you decide you want to do newborn pictures. However some weeks are available even as due dates get closer so always reach out to see.

Faith and SPring

As spring arrives in Chicago, it brings sweet children to me to capture for their first holy communion. This sacrament in their faith is a special milestone. I love how these sweet children come in dressed in their suits and dresses and embrace the sacrement.

Still time to book your 2023 first communion sessions. Sessions can be at the Frankfort photography studio using the white airy feel or using a backdrop. I encourage you to bring your special moments to include in your first communion photography session.

Maternity sessions are a special time as Mom & Dad wait to meet their little one.

The excitement as you prepare for this chapter is unique and one you can’t truly explain to someone. I am having so much fun meeting parents for maternity sessions.

This is a time to capture the love and excitement. The moments of pregnancy are special from starting to plan for a family to finding out the baby is coming to feeling those first kicks and watching the transformation of the baby growing. These are moments you will treasure and a maternity photo session is one way to capture this time to have in print to look back on.

And I absolutely loved the outfit change to casual and the way these images are!! Such a fun twist to a maternity session.
