As spring arrives in Chicago, it brings sweet children to me to capture for their first holy communion. This sacrament in their faith is a special milestone. I love how these sweet children come in dressed in their suits and dresses and embrace the sacrement.

Maternity sessions are a special time as Mom & Dad wait to meet their little one.

The excitement as you prepare for this chapter is unique and one you can’t truly explain to someone. I am having so much fun meeting parents for maternity sessions.

This is a time to capture the love and excitement. The moments of pregnancy are special from starting to plan for a family to finding out the baby is coming to feeling those first kicks and watching the transformation of the baby growing. These are moments you will treasure and a maternity photo session is one way to capture this time to have in print to look back on.

And I absolutely loved the outfit change to casual and the way these images are!! Such a fun twist to a maternity session.

There is no feeling like the one as you are in the final stretch of pregnancy and ready to meet your little one. I am so excited to meet their little on this spring and hear if their house will be filled with pink or blue.

Graduation is a time to celebrate

Graduation season is a busy one and an important one.

I always say you will remember the year you graduate because it seems to be a question as you age that will be asked. It is a year that you start a whole new chapter, wether that is celebrating your advancement from preschool/kindergarten to elementary school, junior high to high school, or high school to your next chapter. These are special times.

Booking a graduation session gives you images to treasure and reflect on. I always encourage to book sessions before graduation because graduation season always seems to get busy.

Graduation Sessions can be a mini session or All-in session and can be booked at the studio or another location. The focus of this session is your graduate and I like to make this experience about them. Like the session above, we did some shirt & tie images and then some relaxed. Booking your own photography session is an experience and allows you to capture your child in a way that is your vision.

I love when I get to connect with a family and then they come back for another session. I always say getting asked back to capture your families is an honor and gift.

The newborn days really do go by so fast, so I love capturing little moments during the session like below - as they only fit in the nook of your arm for so long.

In the world of newborn photography each baby photographer has their own style. I take pride in my style, which is focusing on the baby in a neutral setting, capturing little moments of feet and fingers, and highlighting the connection of baby and family. Newborn sessions with Christina Bailitz Photography can be at your home or at the Frankfort studio. These sessions require a little time but are so worth capturing these moments.

You put your heart into your work - but when was the last time you were photographed & showcased?

In a world where entrepreneurship is everywhere from websites to social media to ads in print, it is essential for you, the owner, to get your face in front of potential clients. I know especially as a photographer, I don’t love the idea of a photo shoot of just me, but I know it connects me with people and my job is all about connections.

So I was honored I got asked to capture another photographers branding session, as she is focusing on marketing and connecting with her clients on her new launch. Before the session we connected through a questionnaire with some details on outfits and goals. We started the session with an overview of her new branding and chatted on some details such as:

• How will you use these images? Website? Instagram? Facebook? Is there an orientation that works better?

• Do you like photographs of yourself on a certain side (and don’t be shy many people prefer one side over the other)?

• We chatted on thoughts of action photos - close up - full body- headshots?

• And then my biggest ask of my clients - I am going to show you straight out of the camera (SOOC) and when you see what you like tell me and when you don’t tell me too so we can work toward more likes.

This is a little reminder to all that have profile pictures, websites, social media that you are connecting with others, make sure to invest in YOU and get images to share you love! Because in a world with so much work behind these amazing machines not everyone gets to see the smiles you have working.
