As spring arrives in Chicago, it brings sweet children to me to capture for their first holy communion. This sacrament in their faith is a special milestone. I love how these sweet children come in dressed in their suits and dresses and embrace the sacrement.

Maternity sessions are a special time as Mom & Dad wait to meet their little one.

The excitement as you prepare for this chapter is unique and one you can’t truly explain to someone. I am having so much fun meeting parents for maternity sessions.

This is a time to capture the love and excitement. The moments of pregnancy are special from starting to plan for a family to finding out the baby is coming to feeling those first kicks and watching the transformation of the baby growing. These are moments you will treasure and a maternity photo session is one way to capture this time to have in print to look back on.

And I absolutely loved the outfit change to casual and the way these images are!! Such a fun twist to a maternity session.

Maternity sessions capture a time of waiting and excitement.

There is no feeling like the one as you are in the final stretch of pregnancy and ready to meet your little one. I am so excited to meet their little on this spring and hear if their house will be filled with pink or blue.

I encourage ALL parents to book a maternity session and to embrace this miracle of love. As parents we don’t capture ourselves often but we are such a big part of this family. Maternity photos are such a special way to document this special time before the baby is in your arms. As a mom of three, I look back and wish I had maternity photographs taken. I am so guilty of being the one behind the camera but it is so important to get in front of the camera. So mom’s make sure you get in front of the lens and be documented as you are an important part of this journey!
